Arizona National

Arizona National Golf Club, formerly known as The Raven Golf Club at Sabino Springs, is Southern Arizona desert golf at its finest. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. in 1995, the golf course, located in Tucson, Arizona, is nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Santa Catalina Mountains adjacent to the Coronado National Forest. The golf course follows the rugged natural flow of the land across shady mesquite-lined arroyos and skirts craggy rock outcroppings.

Along the way, Arizona National Golf Club’s diverse 6,785 yard layout will throw enough decisions and classic golf-in-the-desert challenges at you to test the very limits of your ability. Yet, it has the flexibility to do so without ever becoming unfair.

To compensate for the challenge, you will enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery of any golf course in Southern Arizona, including panoramic mountain vistas, forests of giant saguaros and the rare beauty of nine natural springs.

                Del Lago (Vail)

Tucson golfers greatly appreciate the natural beauty of a high course that rests at an elevation of 3,400 feet - five degrees cooler than Tucson during the summer. del Lago Golf Club serves as the centerpiece of Rancho del Lago, a master-planned community located about 20 minutes from downtown Tucson off Interstate 10. del Lago invites all golfers to come and play on the course, built by Nugent Golf Associates, the same firm that produced the Tour stop Kemper Lakes.

With 120 feet of elevation change, the club's 1st hole begins at the highest point, then plays down into the valley, coming to the back nine, which runs along the Pantano Wash. The course winds its way through the hills and valleys of the high desert, with spectacular and unique views of the backside of the Rincon Mountains and the Santa Catalinas. Except for the 1st hole, which has the course's only forced carry, del Lago is golfer-friendly off the tees. Let the more skilled players play the back tees, which at 7,206 yards, carry a rating of 73.9 and a slope of 135. Par is 72

                      Oro Valley Country Club

The community surrounding the Oro Valley County Club was built before the Town of Oro Valley was established in 1974.

Robert Bruce Harris, noted golf course architect, was commissioned to design a championship golf course to be built on the property selected by the Landon group.  A construction contract was signed on July 28, 1958, calling for a completion date by December 28, 1958, and was delivered to Oro Valley Inc. exactly on time.

Oro Valley Country Club Inc. was formed in June 1959.  Actual member ownership of the Club was not accomplished until February 15, 1961, when the Club was purchased by its members from Oro Valley Inc. for $1,600,000.  The purchase included the golf course, clubhouse, pro shop, swimming pool, 235 home sites and the Oro Valley Water Company franchise.

Renovation of the entire golf course was undertaken in the summer of 1987, using revised design work provided be Keith Foster of the Arthur Hill Company.  Great significance in the redesign was the digging of the retention lake that runs down the left side of the 18th fairway.  The combination of the lake and waterfall with the Pusch Ridge section  of the Santa Catalina Mountains backdrop, created our signature hole, widely noted as one of the best finishing holes in Arizona.

The Oro Valley Country Club is a private club owned by its members.

Homes in Oro Valley Country Club Estates their owners a mix of locations from directly on the golf course to panoramic views of the golf course and Santa Catalina Mountains. Homes on the golf course are 1 story and provide vintage southwest design to modern contempory architecture.

Golf Club at Vistoso   - Rancho Vistoso /Oro Valley

The Golf Club at Vistoso is a Daily Fees golf course along which a number of Rancho Vistoso communities are built. Properties range from casitas on or near the golf course for the "snow birds" to multi million dollar homes in Stone Canyon and Honeybee Canyon that border the 2nd thru 6th holes.

The Golf Club at Vistoso has been ranked as the top public course in Tucson by Golf Digest for good reason….it is one outstanding layout! It’s easy to understand why designer Tom Weiskopf liked this property so much. As is his custom, Weiskopf used the natural terrain, without upsetting the flow of the land, and routed the course in harmony with its surroundings. This balance of vegetation and desert surroundings give the golfer a feeling that each hole blends into the landscape in a natural, complimentary style. Vistoso means “colorful views” and there is plenty of scenery, from the surrounding desert flora and fauna to the Catalina and Tortolita mountains in the background.

Many favorite holes are perfectly framed by these mountain views from the tee to the green, where missed putts typically flow to the Tucson valley floor off in the distance. Golfers are not asked to drive over endless desert wastes, but can be lulled by the generous fairways that demand accuracy and iron selection for every approach. The greens are well bunkered but are easy to read and extremely fair. The condition of the golf course, particularly the greens, is considered to be one of the best in Tucson. After the round, and perhaps a bit of shopping in the well stocked pro-shop, the patio of The Golf Club at Vistoso offers a perfect perch to watch the late afternoon glow on the nearby mountains and enjoy some terrific clubhouse cuisine. The friendly and knowledgeable staff can provide you with everything from lessons, to golf clubs to assistance with a corporate outing. Located in Oro Valley, just north of Tucson, Vistoso is an easy drive from just about anywhere.

 The Stone Canyon Club

Gazing out over a rocky desert landscape, Jay Morrish was “dumbstruck” when he first saw the terrain at The Stone Canyon Club.

In the distance he saw the Santa Catalina and Tortolita Mountains northwest of Tucson. He saw craggy rock formations with petroglyphs left by the Hohokam Indians. He saw a forest of giant saguaros, including some of the rarest double-crested saguaros, and countless native trees -- ironwood, mesquite and palo verde. He saw yellow flowering brittlebush, purple verbena and desert lavender. He saw an unusual Sonoran Desert elevation change of 3,000 feet to 3,300.

After seeing the land for the first time, some folks said Morrish uttered: “I hope I don’t mess it up.”  Little chance of that.

Stone Canyon was Morrish's 50th course, an important milestone in his award-winning 36-year career, which included a period designing winners with Tom Weiskopf.Stone Canyon is an exclusive private club. The only way you can play it is become a member.

The homes surrounding the Stone Canyon Club reflect the course - magnificant and exclusive!  The community - in Oro Valley - is built on 1400 acres and provides its owners views of the  Santa Catalina and Tortolita Mountains, unique desert vistas and emerald green fairways of the course.

Sun City Vistoso is a 1000 acre active adult retirement community conveniently located northwest of Tucson, at the base of the Catalina Mountains in the Town of Oro Valley. The beautiful setting is only the beginning of the quality of the Sun City Vistoso community. With a population of over 4500 active adults, Sun City Vistoso offers a friendly hometown feeling - close enough to the city for convenience but far enough away for tranquility.

    The Gallery Golf Club

The Gallery North Course, designed by John Fought and British Open Champion and 2006 Ryder Cup Captain Tom Lehman, is ranked #1 in Southwest Arizona by Golf Digest and is acknowledged as one of Golfweek’s Top 100 Modern Courses.

The Gallery South Course makes The Gallery one of the few private clubs in the country featuring two highly acclaimed golf courses. Nominated one of Golf Digest’s 100 Best, John Fought’s Gallery South Course differs from The North Course in both terrain and architectural scheme. It’s links style reminiscent of Donald Ross’ Pinehurst #2.
