Nox Kitchen

Nox Kitchen Is a New Restaurant in Tucson AZ – CLOSED

A Top Dining Experience in Tucson AZ

nox kitchen tucson azNox Kitchen draws on the history of Ernest Hemingway. The atmosphere at Nox provides a nostalgic step back in time for when dining out was an experience to remember.

Nox Kitchen is not pretentious nor overly sophisticated. Nox Kitchen is intriguing. A place one could imagine was the haunt of writers and journalists. A place where typewriter keys can be heard in the wee hours of the morning. And yes, patrons meet friends to reflect on their amazing journeys.

The eatery opened in February 2014. Nox Kitchen can be found at the site of the former Jasper Restaurant at the southeast corner of Campbell Avenue and Skyline Drive.

Nox’s summer menu features Latin and occasionally Asian twists to its upscale American choices.

Think tacos, specialty sandwiches, seafood and salads, all with a snazzy flair.

Come Inside

The interior of Nox Kitchen offers many interesting things to catch your attention. The dark, wood paneling in the rest of the restaurant elevates that romantic, getaway feeling.

At dinner the lighting was dim, and tea light candles flickered on each table.

The cozy booths face the wraparound bar. The combination of boths and smaller tables enhance the intimate setting.

The walls are adorned with lots of of treasures to look at. A wall packed of framed photographs and yet another of shelves stuffed with books, glassware and other knickknacks allude to stories of adventure.

The only conflict to the cozy and comfortable setting is an array of flat screens mounted over the bar. It is doubtful Hemingway would have embraced their presence.

Patio Dining

The patio at Nox Kitchen provides a easy and casual setting. Cushy seating and benches welcome you and the views of the Catalina Mountains will make you want to stay.

The bar opens onto the patio, and a perimeter of misters and ceiling fans made it bearable even on a Sunday mid-day in July.

The fireplace will most likely do the same when the nights are cool.

Rise and shine

On weekends, Nox Kitchen has a Sunday brunch.
