A Bit Of History
Tito and Pep restaurant name comes Chef and Owner John Martinez family. His grandmother and great aunt.
When John’s grandmother was a young lady in the late 1920″s, she took care of her younger cousin, Marie.
To pass the time, she would make up stories to tell Marie about two girls who were best friends. One was a rich and the other was poor.
The two make believe girls had many adventures together. Now here is the fun part. Their names were — Tito and Pep.
Tito & Pep is in Midtown Tucson on East Speedway. Its reputation is for delicious food and beverage and exceptional service.
