TEP Is Tucson Electric Power And One Of The Tucson Utilities
Phone TEP At 520-623-7711 OR 1-800-328-8853
TEP turns the power on — and off. TEP is Tucson Electric Power. TEP is the electric power company serving the Tucson Metro Area.
If you live in Northwest Tucson Area or an outlying area you will be out of the TEP service area. Many homes in Northwest Tucson are served by Trico Electric.
You can have your power switched on in Tucson with just a phone call to TEP. If the electricity is already on, just let them know the day you would like the service and billing switched over to you. TEP will do the rest.
The seller of your new home will be calling TEP as well. They will request turning the service off. TEP service personnel will read the meter and switches the account over to you as the new home owner.
To provide TEP plenty of time to make the switch over get in touch with TEP at least a week prior to your close of escrow date. Generally a new home owner does not have to be at the home to have the electric power turned on.
One crucial thing to keep in mine. Have the electric power turned on BEFORE the gas service. The Southwest Gas service person will need to have electric power on to do their work. Should the electric power isn’t on, SWG cannot check your gas appliances.
Service personnel will not turn on your gas without being able to check the appliances.
The Tucson Electric Power offices are at 88 E. Broadway Blvd In downtown Tucson, AZ 85701.
