The History
Vantage West Credit Union had been originally founded as DMAFB Federal Credit Union in 1955. It was federally chartered to serve both the military and civilian workforce at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.
During the next 50 years, what is now Vantage West Credit Union expanded its membership to many other groups. The credit union even further expanded its potential by converting to a state charter from a federal chartered credit union in 2006.
New Name
The credit union was renamed Vantage West Credit Union shortly after the new charter was approved.
In April of 2010, Vantage West merged with First Edition Community Credit Union. Some four years later, in May 2014, the merger with the former Tombstone Federal Credit Union was completed.
Vantage West Credit Union has grown to over 125,000 members. As in the beginning, Vantage West strives to members the highest level of personal services.
