Sales data from the Tucson Association of Realtors MLS suggested adult communities for the 45 and over age group accounted for almost 13% of the sales of Tucson homes in 2013. That was a 30% increase from 2012.

A recent report released jointly by Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies and the AARP foundation projects the number of people in the U.S. Age 50 and over will grow to 133 million by 2030.
