Arizona Central Credit Union TucsonArizona Central Credit Union started as the Arizona League Central Credit Union. It opened in 1939 to serve employees, board members and officials of other credit unions. doing business in Arizona.

A credit union for credit union officers and employees. Who would of thought of that? Actually, the regulations at the time where required it. Employees could not borrow money from the credit union they worked for.

That created the need for a credit union for the employees and officers of all other credit unions.

In 1957, the name changed to Arizona Central Credit Union.

The name changes eliminated confusion. Arizona Credit Union League had been the trade association for Arizona-based credit unions.

Arizona Central Credit Union has operated under an Arizona state banking charter. But Arizona Central has changed its membership over time.

Arizona Central has grown by merging smaller credit unions. Over 50 mergers.

In 1968, Arizona Central became the first credit union in Arizona to create a SEG program. SEG stands for Select Employee Groups.

This program enabled small businesses to offer credit union membership to their employees. Thus, eliminating the risk and expense of an in-house credit union.

Arizona Central Today

Arizona Central Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution that is locally owned and operated by its members. ACCU has over 55,000 members and $400 million in assets. It strives to serve its members and the members communities with high standards of service and respect.

Costco Tucson AZCostco is a worldwide retail powerhouse that was established in San Diego as the Price Club in 1976. Two years, 1978, later, a second store win Phoenix, Arizona. Eventually, Price Club became a leading name in the warehouse retailing industry.

In 1983, a member of the Price Club management team left and formed the Costco Wholesale Corporation in 1983. Costco’s marketing and distribution structure copied heavily from Price’s designs. Oro Valley HospitalOro Valley Hospital is a community hospital, serving residents in Northwest Tucson. Oro Valley Hospital is a 144-bed facility offering inpatient and outpatient care. Services include diagnostic imaging and emergency, medical and surgical medical care.

Oro Valley Hospital has over 200 healthcare professionals at it location on Tangerine Road in Oro Valley AZ. Through its affiliates, the Hospital provides services through the Sleep Centers of Oro Valley Hospital and Rancho Vistoso Urgent Care.

OVH strives to provide a comfortable family centered care for the community. Oro Valley Hospital operates the Rancho Vistoso Urgent Care center located on Oracle Road just north of Tangerine Road.

Main Hospital – Visiting Hours

The History 

Vantage West Credit Union Tucson AZVantage West Credit Union had been originally founded as DMAFB Federal Credit Union in 1955. It was federally chartered to serve both the military and civilian workforce at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

During the next 50 years, what is now Vantage West Credit Union expanded its membership to many other groups. The credit union even further expanded its potential by converting to a state charter from a federal chartered credit union in 2006.

New Name

The credit union was renamed Vantage West Credit Union shortly after the new charter was approved.

In April of 2010, Vantage West merged with First Edition Community Credit Union. Some four years later, in May 2014, the merger with the former Tombstone Federal Credit Union was completed.

Vantage West Credit Union has grown to over 125,000 members. As in the beginning, Vantage West strives to members the highest level of personal services.
