Tucson Real Estate Newsletter July 2020 – TUCSON HOUSING MARKET UPDATE
COVID -19 remains in the news, but Tucson home buyers were on the prowl. As June temperatures so did home prices. Average Sales Price of a single family home rose 4.5% year over year! The Median Sales Price rose 4.0%.
Challenging buyers is the low inventory of Active Listings. At the end of June, there were just 1,349 active listings of single family home. DOWN 49% from June 2019.
The Average Sales Price for Condos and Townhouses increase almost 19%.

Hooray ~ The monsoons are here!!. Rain is a precious commodity for the desert and we have already had a few minor rain falls.
Even as the rain clouds build, Tucson still enjoys the daily sunrise and famous sunsets.

Still operating today, El Charro Cafe of Tucson is America’s Oldest Mexican Restaurant in continuous operation by the same family.

For sea food lovers, family has a new restaurant right next door – Charro del Rey
Charro del Rey joins El Charro Café as the 3rd installment of iconic downtown Tucson dining destinations developed by Raymon Flores of Flores Concepts.

A popular spot and walking distance from the University of Arizona campus is 4th Avenue (south of University Blvd.).
Known for it’s semi-annual 4th Avenue Street Fair, this place is hopping with restaurants, retail, and bars.
One of our favorite restaurants for dessert is The B Line. This street is loaded with locally owned businesses so please support them!
Be advised, some of the bars are closed at this time due to COVID-19.
If you have a favorite, call ahead to be sure they are open and what restrictions may be imposed.

July 2020 – Gardening Tips for August
- Adjust the drip cycle with the monsoons.
- Watch for wilting leaves that don’t recover overnight; adjust watering to eliminate stress. Remember to water plants in the morning.
- This time of year even the native plants need supplemental water if it’s not raining.
- Vegetables for the cooler season (peas, beets, squash, cucumbers).
- Fertilize: Shrubs and citrus trees before the end of August.
What’s Happening Around Tucson 
Big events are still cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19. But there have been a few “drive in” concerts in Oro Valley and the Saturday “Farmers Market” at Steam Pump Ranch has some tents up.
