Recently they double the lodging and expanded their restaurants. In the 40’s many movie stars stayed at the hotel. Which room do you think Spencer Tracy, Katharine Hepburn, Clark Gable or John Wayne stayed in?

  • 1/4 C Baking Soda
  • 1/4 C Borax
  • 1 C White Vinegar

Place ingredients into toilet and mix. Let sit for at least 30 minutes before scrubbing.

  • 1/4 C Ammonia
  • 1/4 C Rubbing Alcohol
  • 1/2 C Jet Dry (for dishwasher)
  • 1/4C of Powder Dish Detergent

Wash windows using above combination. Rinse using water hose. Squeegee and/or wipe dry.

Sad but true, we had a double digit decline in “Unit Sales” August over July by over 13% AND a decline in “Unit Sales” September over August. Guess what percentage the “Unit Sales” decline was in September? Sellers, it’s not our fault that buyers don’t come this time of year!

Cutting Boards: To remove tough stains from wood or plastic cutting boards, cut a lemon in half and rub and squeeze juice onto board.  Let sit for 20 minutes before rinsing off.

Fertilize: Trees, shrubs and vines using ammonium sulfate.  Do NOT fertilize anything that goes dormant this winter. Prune: All that went wild during the monsoon season. Plant: Flowering bulbs, herbs, desert shrubs, cacti, euphorbia, agave, yucca, and palms.

Fertilize: Fertilize citrus and succulents with cactus fertilizer every month during the warm season. (If using regular fertilizer, dilute to half strength). Prune: Cut back mesquite and palo verde trees. Protect: We’re into our hottest season. Cover citrus trunks to prevent sunburn damage. Drape sensitive plants with shade cloth to protect from sun damage.

The Council for the Chamber of Commerce recently did a study on who has the lowest cost of living. Of the 7 Arizona cities polled, although Bullhead City ranked #1, Tucson came in a very close 2nd. Water: Adjust drip system to accommodate warming temps and monsoon season. Fertilize: Fertilize citrus and succulents with cactus fertilizer every month during the warm season. (If using regular fertilizer, dilute to half strength). Prune: Cut back bougainvillea, lantana, and hibiscus to stimulate blooms. Do NOT prune lower branches on citrus trees because this shades the trunk. Protect: We’re into our hottest season. Cover citrus trunks to prevent sunburn damage. Drape sensitive plants with shade cloth to protect from sun damage.

Also feed cacti and succulents with cactus fertilizer (if using regular fertilizer, dilute to half strength). Prune: Cut back salvia plants to promote growth. Do NOT prune lower branches on citrus trees because this shades the trunk. Plant: Plant drought-tolerant lantana, Mexican Primrose and gazania. Also a great time to plant palms.
